frequently asked questions

Force Majeure

The Company shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations under these terms and conditions where such failure or delay is due to causes beyond its reasonable control. Such causes may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, etc.), acts of war or terrorism, political instability, travel restrictions, government regulations, pandemics, medical emergencies, labor strikes, or other unforeseen events or circumstances.

In the event of a force majeure situation, the Company will make reasonable efforts to inform affected parties promptly. However, the Company cannot guarantee the resumption or completion of services under the conditions originally agreed upon. Patients are encouraged to review their travel plans and medical arrangements, and may be offered alternative options or rescheduling based on the situation at hand.

The Company reserves the right to cancel or modify any booked services, including medical procedures, travel arrangements, or accommodations, where such cancellation or modification is necessitated by a force majeure event. In such cases, the Company shall not be liable for any direct or indirect losses, damages, or additional costs incurred by the client.

Patients are encouraged to obtain adequate travel insurance to cover potential changes or cancellations resulting from force majeure events.

Penalties & Cancellations

At Aegean Beauty, we understand that plans can change unexpectedly, and we strive to be as accommodating as possible in such situations. However, due to the nature of medical tourism, certain penalties and cancellation fees may apply to cover the costs of medical appointments, travel arrangements, and other services that are booked in advance.

1. Cancellation by Client

If you wish to cancel your booking for medical tourism services, please notify us as soon as possible in writing. The cancellation fees will depend on the timing of the cancellation in relation to the scheduled travel or medical procedure. The following cancellation policy applies:

  • More than 30 days before scheduled procedure or travel date: No cancellation fee, but any non-refundable deposits or service fees may be deducted.
  • 15-30 days before scheduled procedure or travel date: 25% of the total cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • 7-14 days before scheduled procedure or travel date: 50% of the total cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • Less than 7 days before scheduled procedure or travel date: 100% of the total cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.

Please note that certain services, such as non-refundable medical appointments, treatment packages, or specialized accommodations, may be subject to different cancellation policies based on agreements with healthcare providers and third-party service providers.

2. Cancellation by Aegean Beauty

In the rare event that we need to cancel or reschedule your medical services or travel arrangements, we will make every effort to notify you as soon as possible and provide alternative dates or options. If we are unable to offer a suitable alternative, we will refund any amounts paid for services that are not provided.

Aegean Beauty is not liable for any costs incurred due to cancellations, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, and personal expenses.

3. Modifications to Booking

If you need to modify your booking (such as changing the date of your medical treatment, travel plans, or accommodations), we will do our best to accommodate your request. However, any changes may be subject to availability and additional charges. Changes made within 7 days of your scheduled appointment or travel date may incur additional fees, depending on the nature of the modification and third-party policies.

4. Refunds

Refunds for cancellations will be processed within 30 days of the cancellation request, minus any applicable fees or penalties. Refunds will be made to the original payment method used for the booking, unless otherwise agreed.

5. Travel and Insurance Costs

For cancellations or changes that affect travel arrangements, clients are encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover any non-refundable costs incurred due to changes or cancellations. Aegean Beauty is not responsible for any fees related to flights, visas, accommodations, or travel insurance.

6. Special Conditions for Medical Procedures

Due to the nature of medical procedures, certain treatments or surgeries may require additional pre-operative assessments, laboratory tests, or consultations. If you cancel after these steps have been performed, you may be charged for the costs incurred. In some cases, deposits paid to healthcare providers may also be non-refundable. If, after evaluation, a patient is deemed unsuitable for the treatment we may decline to offer the service. The deposit will be non-refundable and the patient will be charged for the hotel accommodation, flights, transfers or any medical tests that have been made.
